Kevin Smith, founder and principal of SMITH STRATEGICS, will be conducting counterterrorism training in San Francisco, California, on March 11, 2026.
Smith will be presenting his 8-hour Domestic Violent Extremists (DVE) course. This course is certified by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST).
This presentation will examine the current domestic violent extremist (DVE) threat landscape in the U.S. Attendees will learn (1) the ideologies of the different DVE movements and criminal subcultures in the U.S.; (2) the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by DVEs; (3) how to identify DVEs using specific behavioral indicators; and (4) tools to counter the potential threat of violence posed by DVEs.
Attendance is limited to homeland security stakeholders from government agencies and the military.
